Wispy Illusion

Season: Summer

Season Change: May 1, 2007

Weather: Early summer creates a contrast between the teetering weather, as it changes to standing on solid ground. The deer have long shed their winter coats and now a light summer coat takes its place. Vegetation has grown long and healthy, and many of the animals are emerging now as the temperatures warm up. Food is plentiful, along with thick sunlight during the noon (which creates too-hot temperatures sometimes). It is also this time that the antlers of the stags are beginning to form, and by the end of the season, they should be ripe enough and ready to peel the velvet in autumn.

Breeding and Birthing: Allowed all year long. (There is no rule restricting real deer about when to breed.)

Freedom, a call to the soul.
A destiny to choose.
Shall the path be of a golden diversion, or of the darkened road?
Capture, or captivate, you decide....
A miracle in itself...
A legacy untold, unheard, and now unfolded...

A mist... hidden between the trees, waiting, watching. The air is dense, and the stars are coming close to their time of twinkle. Noises moved about in the background, some surely of a harmless creature, and others uncertain. In the distance, the moon becomes the setting circle in the horizon, clearly marking the difference between the distinct lines of the elements of earth and air. It is only then that there is a gentle ruffling in the brush as a slight breeze follows by. Quietly, the creature steps out from her hidden position, and strays into the clearing. She turns, blinks at you with her dark, innocently-hued blue eyes. For a moment, nothing moves. But then, the silence is broken as she steps away again, leaving a trail of light dust and a silhouette taken from her golden fur.

Now it's your choice: Will you follow her, or leave this as but a broken memory?
